Attention: Beginning Tuesday, February 18th the SD Division of Motor Vehicles will be implementing a new system. As a result of the conversion, our office will NOT be able to process any motor vehicle transactions on Friday, February 14th. We regret the inconvenience

The Yankton County Government Center and all other Yankton County non-emergency offices in the county will be closed on Monday, February 17, 2025 in observance of Presidents Day.

Reminder:
Yankton County residents that have last names starting with C, D and E have until February 28, 2025 to renew vehicle registration.

The Yankton County Highway Department will begin their winter hours on Monday, December 02, 2024 and will run until further notice.

Winter hours are:
Monday through Thursday: 6:30am to 4:00pm.
Fridays: 6:30am to 10:30am
