Important Information to Know

In accordance with the Federal Driver's Policy Protection Act of 1994 and South Dakota Codified Laws 32-5-144 through 32-5-155, proof of ownership and a government issued photo identification card must be provided for all motor transactions.

Please bring proof of ownership when renewing. This can be in the form of the following:

  • Postcard/email renewal from the Department of Motor Vehicles
  • Title(s)
  • Registration(s)
  • License plate number(s)

Public Service Announcement:

Due to new USPS regulations, mail may not be post marked on the day it was dropped off at the facility, potentially days later. Please keep this in mind when mailing your payments, so they are received in our office with a postmark date before the deadline, April 30th.
