Who We Are

People in need often start with the Yankton Contact Center. YCC responds to crises and often hopeless situations experienced by individuals and families throughout the Yankton area to get food, gasoline, temporary housing, some medications, and many other social services requiring a connection now. At the Yankton Contact Center, if any man, woman, or child is hungry, they can come to us. We are the only food source in town that is accessible every day, all day, right away. We proudly serve many of our friends in Nebraska or within about 60 miles of Yankton.

Yankton Contact Center is the only source in town for individuals needing help managing and keeping their social security payments safe and secure with help from our Representative Payee Coordinators.

Announcement

The Yankton Contact Center's food pantry is currently undergoing significant improvements in operations. As usual, we will be open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm; however, starting July 15th 2023, the food pantry doors will only be open on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. During those three days only, we will be offering clients a new way to get food and other essentials from the pantry. Clients can shop and select the necessary items for their families, with each item having a limit based on the family size. For example, a family of one to three may not get as many supplies as a family of four to six. We will be busy focusing on our other programs on Mondays and Wednesdays, and the food pantry services will not be open on those two days.

Thanks to a grant from the Benedictine Service Fund, we have acquired a new fridge and freezer that will enable us to offer healthier and fresher options, including in-season fruits, veggies, and proteins. All of these important changes will benefit our clients and volunteers, giving our clients more freedom to choose healthy options that meet their specific needs. Our volunteers will be providing a valued service helping you on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

We appreciate the opportunity to serve all who are in need and value our commitment to the Yankton area.
